“Holding On To Yesterday” – Ambrosia

“Holding On To Yesterday” – Ambrosia – screener

Alan Parsons engineered Ambrosia’s self-titled debut album shortly before The Alan Parsons Project recorded Tales of Mystery and Imagination.   David Pack, Joe Puerta, Christopher North, and Burleigh Drummond – Ambrosia – all played on that A.P.P. debut album.  Both fine works of progressive rock feature a wonderful focus on melody with luxurious production values and lovely harmonies. “Holding On To Yesterday” was Ambrosia’s first song to chart in the Top 20 and continues to surface on radio and streaming sites.  Laser Show Dynamic ® proudly provides a new way to appreciate an old favorite.   SEE the music!

Today most people seem to have the attention span of a… What was I saying?  Oh, right.   The long-lived creatively impressive progressive rock/fusion band Camel specializes in music that is meant to be listened to, not mearly heard as back-ground.  Those of you who still can turn off your phone and television and spend time just listening to great music will be justly rewarded by this sweet piece from Camel’s album “MoonMadness.”  Thanks to Laser Show Dynamic you not only get to listen with your ears, you also get to listen with your eyes.  Savor the experience.

“Little Wing” – Jimi Hendrix Experience

“Little Wing” – Jimi Hendrix Experience – screener

“Little Wing” written by Jimi Hendrix, has long been considered one of the best songs in rock music history. It’s been covered many times by other artists ever since the Jimi Hendrix Experience.
Laser Show Dynamic ® is very proud to present the first of the “Little Wing Masters Trilogy” – Jimi’s own version.  Derek & The Dominoes and Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double trouble versions are already in post-production. The artistic tricks I use on this one are a nod to the visual art accompaniament at the Monterrey Pop Festival during Jimi’s powerful performance.  Fly on little wing…

“Hear Me Lord” – Davy Knowles & Back Door Slam – screener

Davy Knowles time with Back Door Slam yielded blues so deep and soulful they pull you into feelings at the very heart of our existence.   The prayerful “Hear Me Lord” is a prime example – dive in and let it wash over you.

“How Deep It Goes” – Heart

“How Deep It Goes” – Heart – screener

Ann and Nancy Wilson… they didn’t exactly start Heart, but they put their hearts into the band for decades.  Even with the essential contributions of  Roger Fisher and others, when people think of  Heart they think of the Wilson sisters.  Wonderfully thoughtful, soulful, and creative; they gave us a wide range of music from blazing rock to tender ballads that pull you right into their dreams.   Their debut album Dreamboat Annie is filled with great songs, so choosing the first one for Laser Show Dynamic wasn’t easy.  I chose “How Deep It Goes” partly because it has been overshadowed by “Magic Man” and “Crazy On You” – hits that still receive a lot of airplay.  If you are just now discovering Heart, I strongly recommend you explore all their music to see just how deep it goes.

“White Rabbit” – Jefferson Airplane

“White Rabbit” – Jefferson Airplane – screener

21st Century Laser Show Dynamic meets 1960’s Jefferson Airplane at the Fillmore!  An homage to Jefferson Airplane, the wizards of the ’60’s light shows, and one of my favorite poster artists – Victor Moscoso.   Lewis Carroll never saw this coming!  Or maybe he did…

“Cause We’ve Ended As Lovers” – Jeff Beck – screener

“Cause We’ve Ended As Lovers” – Jeff Beck – screener

Blues rock and jazz fusion blend in Jeff Beck’s take on Stevie Wonder’s “Cause We’ve Ended As Lovers.” One of the all-time greatest guitarists (not just my opinion – he ranked 5th on Rolling Stone’s list) Beck played with The Yardbirds then went on to be one of the most influential in the craft.
